Vs. Cancer

Spreading the love of lacrosse, teamwork and hard work to Costa Rica

In December, 2011, led by Doc Hodges,  I travelled with a group of Canadians to Costa Rica to put on lacrosse clinics with the Costa Rican National Lacrosse team. In addition to running the lax clinics and donating a ton of lax equipment, we also raisied money and made charitable donations to Costa Rican schools.

People to people Student Ambassador
I was anonymously nominated to represent my country as a member of the Student Ambassador Program. Traveling to the South Pacific (Australia and New Zealand), as a People to People Student Ambassador, I had a life-changing educational journey that fostered friendship, built on the foundation for personal success, and offered unique access to the people, places, and cultures of Australia and New Zealand. The Program delegations are built around local communities, so I made friends locally before we traveled globally.

Lax Food Drive

Volunteered at two farms renting property from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The most interesting one is a Countryside Initiative farmstead called GoatFeathers Point Farm. They are raising Myotonic "Tennessee Fainting" meat goats, heritage turkeys and chickens. I chopped wood, helped make raw honey, hauled hay, sorted and fed the goats and much, much more.
